Desktop Support Technician *Part Time*
With a focus on customer service and support, Carmacks Enterprises is seeking a Desktop Support Technician. Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of computing resources, mobile devices, printers/copiers, and related tasks. - Provide effective technical support and fault resolution with timely feedback to users, adhering to IT & Technical Resources Service Level Agreements;
- Install, configure, maintain and support computing hardware, peripherals and software, keeping to the terms of license agreements;
- Create, test, deploy and maintain computer operating system images and software installation via scripts including associated documentation;
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and monitor the performance of the company’s computing resources, taking remedial action as necessary;
- Provide desk-side support to users including diagnosing technology issues and educating users on the hardware and/or software;
- Create and maintains user accounts, email accounts, profiles, and related tasks;
- Arrange for the disposal of office/computer equipment which is no longer functioning;
You will have the following qualifications:
- Relevant training from an accredited institution in Computer Science or related area
- A+, N+, Microsoft Certifications are a bonus
- Intermediate experience supporting Android, BlackBerry and iOS-based mobile devices in a managed (MDM) environment
- Advanced MS Office skills (vlookups, pivot tables etc.) desired but not essential
- Must hold a clean and valid driving license, willing to travel (Mileage reimbursed)
Prefered qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills, with a focus on customer service
This is a part time (3 days per week) position located out of our Nisku office.
