PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

 This new 24m long three span bridge replaced an existing three span bridge on Highway 55, approximately 8km west of the junction between Highway 55 and Highway 9. A temporary detour was employed to maintain existing traffic. The abutments were composed of precast concrete pile caps and sheet piles acting as backwalls. The bridge superstructure included precast concrete girders with a clay-gravel cap riding surface.
